I've gained so much knowledge within the couple years in school doing, but I found out there's more to it than I realized. It's the fact that many visitors will click on the link, or look for the area that they want to visit on the site. When it comes to designing the website, the designer MUST think about which page will attract the most attention ( landing page). Obviously, they care about where and what content is a part of the site. This also taught me about the importance of marketing and watching out for what views want to see.

It's become clear that the landing page is critical. It's like the digital handshake between the site and its visitors—the first impression that sets the tone for everything that follows. I've had to start thinking about these first moments as if I'm inviting someone into my personal space, making sure everything is clear, engaging, and directly speaks to what they need. The design decisions aren’t just aesthetic choices; they’re strategic moves that decide whether someone will stick around or bounce off the page.

And here’s something that really changed my perspective: web design is inextricably linked with marketing. I discovered that designing a website is much more than crafting pretty visuals; it's about aligning user behavior with business goals. I began to see marketing not as a separate discipline, but as a partner in design. The aim is to create an experience that not only looks good but also anticipates what visitors want to see—almost like reading their minds. Whether it’s optimizing for a specific demographic or testing which elements trigger more engagement, it’s all about building a story that resonates with the viewer right from that very first click.

Ultimately, what I’m saying is that knowledge is always evolving. The theories I learned in class are just the starting point. The real challenge—and opportunity—lies in understanding the dynamic interplay of design and human behavior, using each user’s interaction as a lesson in what works and what doesn’t.
